The agreement between you and The Brilliant Brains for one-to-one online tuition. Please read carefully, these terms apply from the moment you book a session.
Cancellation of lessons by client / student
The client or student may cancel a lesson by giving the tutor at least 24 hours' prior notice, in which case no tuition fees will be incurred. The full lesson rate may be charged for sessions that are not attended without giving the tutor at least 24 hours' notice.
All sessions in a package must be completed within 30 days from the date of the first session. A makeup session must be arranged within seven days if the client or student cancels within the 24-hour window.
Student fees are based on attendance at all lessons as stipulated in the agreed schedule. The tutor and the client should work together in good faith to resolve any emergency.
Cancellation of lessons by tutor
The tutor may cancel a lesson with 24 hours' notice to the client, in which case no fees will be charged. The tutor will reschedule the appointment at a time convenient to both parties; failing that, the client will receive a refund for the missed class.
Sessions must be completed within 30 days, starting from the first day of the package. If the tutor cancels, the missed session must be made up within seven days.
Late arrival
Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule, and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student. Late students will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled session, sessions cannot be extended on the same day.
Any time lost because of the late arrival of the tutor shall be compensated by extending a future lesson by mutual agreement, by such an amount of time that was lost.
No-show policy
If a student is more than 20 minutes late to a session while the tutor is online, they are considered a no-show. In the event of a no-show by the student, the tutoring session must still be paid for. The student shall not be entitled to a discount or refund for lessons not attended.
Agreement for payment
Tutoring sessions must be paid in advance, either weekly or monthly, depending on the agreed package. Sessions cannot commence until payment for that period is received.
